Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They can be used to add an additional benefit or impact while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as a reward, or created by crafting materials. In addition to providing bonus points, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are not generally available for general use and can only be used on equipment that has been elevated or certain weapons that aren't ascended from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be extracted from equipment by using an Infusion Extraction Device. They can also be salvaged using a Blacklion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items are able to be exchanged and reused while still attached to an item they are upgrading. These upgrade items can be used to increase the quality of armor and weapons, without spending Dilithium. They can increase the chances that the item will receive a quality upgrade.
An upgrade component placed in an item can be replaced with another, but doing so destroys the original (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment that has been ascended). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or higher. If you add an upgrade to an existing weapon that already has an upgrade suffix or prefix the item will be referred to as it would appear on the game screen (for instance, adding the Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player is limited to three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are an excellent addition to any item, since they provide numerous unique advantages and boosts. Certain glyphs can increase the number of affixes attached to an item, increasing the overall power of the item. These glyphs are obtained through the completion of dungeons. They can also be found in specific World Tier 3 zones. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can only be used by characters who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.
To use a Glyph first, you need to build it from components and connect them to anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph with components, you can use an array of anchors and paths. Drag an element close to an element highlighted to lock it in place.
Certain glyphs require certain conditions to satisfy, like having 25 Dexterity or more in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which could be a bit difficult to achieve. Certain glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs are used for many different items and can be added to all weapons, with the exception for weapons belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs have conditions for example, like having a certain number of dexterity or attack damage in a specific area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph gives you an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has a chance of 15% to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are also a few glyphs that can be applied to tools that are limited-use, such as the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. Adding these glyphs will count towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs, which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts with a flat value. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that rely on weapons that are ranged, like Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who strike the Hero susceptible to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results when taking an Action. They are removed when the reroll happens. Reroll tokens can be gained in a variety of ways, such as through raids, dungeons, and skirmishes. They can also be bought at the store or purchased from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials, since they allow players to reroll rewards from the bottom of the chest.
For items at the level 1, there are values for recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a certain amount of points each time you recycle an item. This number is determined by both the item's rarity and level. In addition, the upgraded item won't keep its level when it is rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item increases depending on the level of the item.
The player can also use reroll tokens to make an item rerollable. However it will not bring back the item's original stats or level. This is a great option for players who want to reroll an item they don't like but still want to keep it in their collection.
There are three types of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll random and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. Reroll tokens, for instance come in three levels of rarity: legendary, rare, and enhanced. item upgrade requires an item of the level of its respective to make an item of that quality.
To make use of reroll tokens right-click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select a type of token. The tokens available include Item Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a new Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon from the same faction.
There is also a chance that the item will be upgraded to a new item with a higher level and the same extra stats. This is likely to happen when the item is placed in the Pool that is not droppable or has been transferred to it as part of the Franchise Card.
